Is there any antyvirus or internet security in Linux Operating System?norton internet security

The statement earlier "viruses are for windows" is incorrect. The truth of the matter is that a virus takes advantage of a vulnerability in a system. Just think loopholes in the programming code of the operating system. Now not too many people spend time looking for loopholes in the Apple and Linux operating systems because in all honesty there are not that many systems that you can damage. Windows on the other hand has a lot of users and a good amount do not know enough about computers to protect them selves. So a person can cause maximum damage with minimal effort when attacking windows.

There have been issues with Linux in the past but since it is open source, people have created their own patches qickly and did noy have to wait for Microsoft to come out with them.

there are a few such as from panda software and F-PROT but you will most likely not need any of those because Linux hardly has any viruses written for it.
