Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
boot into safe mode

At the taskbar, click Start|Run. Type 'Regedit' and press Return. The registry editor opens.

Before you edit the registry, you should make a backup. On the 'Registry' menu, click 'Export Registry File'. In the 'Export range' panel, click 'All', then save your registry as Backup.

Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE entries:

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curren...

NetLogon=userint.exe

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curren...

NetLogon=userint.exe

and delete them if they exist.

Each user has a registry area named HKEY_USERS\[code number indicating user]\. For each user locate the entry:

HKU\[code number]\Software\Microsoft\Windows\

CurrentVersion\Run\NetLogon=userint.ex...

and delete it if it exists.

Close the registry editor and reboot your computer.

Reboot into safe mode again, search for the userint.exe file and delete it from your computer, permanently, now check the registery again to make sure all mentions of userint.exe are gone then reboot into normal mode

Is anti-virus software enough to protect your computer? I am a frequent internet user.?

I have Kaspersky antivirus installed on my new computer. However, is it enough to protect my computer. I do use internet alot and I want an efficient protection. I was thinking firewall, anti-malware, anti-spyware, e-mail protection. Basically, what all do I need to get???

Fire wall would be a good idea and you should have at least two spyware protection programs installed. I would go with two of theses.

Anti Super Spyware

Spybot

Ad-ware se

Windows Defender.

As far as e-mail, unless you are using outlook, most e-mail provoders have built in mail protection.

Also I have noticed that people who use Kaspersky, complain of there computer lagging. So if that ever ends up becoming your case, you may want to uninstall it and go with AVG free.

No matter how many security I have, it seems there's always a new one popping, sneaking in to my comp
I have a firewall (zonealarm) and two antivirus softwares installed. You can never be to cautious. It is also important to do frequent updates and weekly scans.
Antivirus is not enought for sure.

What are mail server and firewall and antivirus hardwares??

i heard someone who is responsible for IT in a shopping mall that he will buy 3 hardwares (and call those servers) , one for firewall and one for mail server , what are these servers exactly??? i heard about the software ones.. but never heard about the hardware, anyone get a clue?

What are mail server and firewall and antivirus hardwares??viruses

A server is basically a computer that serves information to several computers. By using 3 separate servers, this insures that if one goes down, not all services are affected. It's like using the same server for hosting a website and email. If that server goes down, your website is not accessible and you will be missing email too!

those are protection to your computer you can

download them here..

http://att.my.yahoo.com/ if you have an acount there.
A server is a computer which has a specialised purpose, usually "serving" up something hence the name.

All websites are hosted on web servers which do just that.. they're computers which serve webpages.

A mail server is a server which handles email. When you check your email, that has been on a mail server before you get it.

A hardware firewall is a server/computer which has the sole job of protecting the security of a network. It works just like a software firewall, only there's a whole computer (or sometimes more) dedictated to the security.

Mcafee? norton?....??

all these antivirus softwares really confuse me. i think i have alot of errors and bugs and a huge virus in my laptop and i dont know which to download. i want something that doesnt slow down my laptop while running and doesnt take alot of memory, any suggestions?

Mcafee? norton?....??vista

Both the programs you listed are great at removing a virus but the tax your system resources heavily......Zone alarm has more awards than any antivirus software, because of its ability to find and disinfect a virus, its easy on your computers resources, and its easy to use....I use CA antivirus, and like the firewall options, it also has a live scanner for spyware and virus protection, which allows me to do a system scan about once a week.....

http://www.ca.com/

I would recommend either of these 2 if you want to purchase a good package.....AVG is free, but it is vulnerable to many virus attacks that can easily shut it down and wreak havoc on your pc....

Mcafee? norton?....??antispyware

yeah, try AVG.
AVG is one of the best, but you might also like AVAST!. they are free and don't bog down your system. (yahoo them) (its like googling only cooler)

Theres plenty of free programs out there to keep your computer clean. Avast and Avg for antivirus and then Spybot adaware and Avg Antispyware for any spyware issues.

Norton or live care are not some of the best of programs out there, especially norton is a killer on your system resources.

Do they make software that will block pop ups that appear to be from your own computer?

Like that will block updates are ready to install or upgrade your antivirus programs and just the weird stuff I have no idea what it is that pops up. Also, how does your computer time those pop ups? Is it completely at random because they seem to wait until your in the middle of something important.

Do they make software that will block pop ups that appear to be from your own computer?

I believe this is spyware or malware. This happens to me alot because my grandson uses my computer and goes to sites like bearshare, game sites, ect.

You can go to twocows.com and download "Spybot, search and destroy" for free. I run it every day or two and it finds about a dozen items that have placed themselves on my computer giving it demands that cause the pop-ups.

I also have "Adaware" (not to be confused with adware) it works much the same as Spybot but each one catches things the other doesn't. So It's best to use both and run them regulary.

Don't let them run anything automaticaly it will drive you crazy, just run them manualy when you want to.

If you have Windows, set it to receive automatic updates and set your virus software, AVG, Norton, or whatever to automaticaly update.

This is the only way to keep your computer clean of junk like spyware, adware, and viruses.

And don't download everything just because it is "free". That's what gets you into trouble.

You have a Smitfraud infection. Download the removal tool:

Please HELP!!! virus problem?antivirus programs

now that the antivirus software has removed the virus, you still have lots of damage to repair. it's difficult, but not completely hopeless. the cleanest way is to save all your data on another media, reformat, reinstall, and then move your data back. 1st, though, you might try repairing your registry. there's software out there for that. good luck. you'll need it.
all the other answers are great, but i would just reload back to factory level 2 or 4 times, that way you be be sure your system is clean
Run an online scan with Trend Micro. They will remove it.
You downloaded one of those Bogus Anti-virus programs that throw fake warnings that your computer is infected with spy-ware, only to influence you to buy another program. Like what WDW said "Smitfraud" may help. Out of the 8 anti-virus software's you installed, was AVG one of them? I found AVG which is free to work effectively.
