Anti virus?

whats the difference between Norton anti virus software and Norton symnatec antivirus. Which would be the best to have?

Use NOD32, trust me it is 10x better than Norton and most stuff out there.

they are SLOOOOOW as hell.



i use Avira AntiVir now and its fast updated almost daily and found loads of stuff Norton didnt.

Symantec is the name of the company. Norton is the name of the product line. So, you are referring to the same thing - there is no difference.



It seems to be the norm on Yahoo Answers to slam Norton products. However, if you look at some independant reviews you'll find that Norton consistently comes in the top 5, whereas virtually all the others recommended here do not.

my friend its the same. symantec is the corporation of that product.
Neither they are both crap, the problem is they are so well known the virus writers set out to target them. I would opt for avast free,AVG free, or Zone Alarm all free and very good protection.
It is the same product.
