Yes it is safe providing you use common sence and following safety rules. Banks will often have you change your codes often. Personally I prefer not to take the chance.
why do online banking ?? walk down to the bank, would get u some exercise, give you some talking to the teller and the cashier, greet them , do the transaction, update your passbook and walk back home...
Simple :) why risk on the internet and then spend sleepless nights ??
