Spybot Search & Destroy ?

Hi everyone! I were wondering if any of you ever worked with this software and can answer these questions for me please :

1. Is spybot S%26D a good software?

2.If it is then how good is it ? " By the scale of 1 to 10"

3.Does it protects your pc really good ?

4.Can it work just as good as any other antivirus?

"Such as Mcafee,Nod 32, Kaspersky."

5.Can you please list the pluses and minuses of this software ?

Spybot is a pretty good program that is free. I'd say probably 8 or 9. It protects your computer as long as you keep updating it for the new definitions of spyware. Yes to your question 4.

I'd highly suggest downloading Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2.6, it's free and does alot more than Spybot...

1. Yes, it IS a good software...and it's FREE!

2. I'd give it a scale rating of 7. You should also download and run the free version of Lavasoft's AD-AWARE.

3. It (along with Ad-Aware) does a good job of protecting your system from spyware (NOT viruses, as you point out). Of course, this protection is ONLY as good as how often you run them. The free versions aren't "live" in the background.
