im about to take online classes for an out of state art institute for graphic design and this is the information they gave me after reading these requirements what laptop would you suggest?...

As a general guideline students should not have computer specifications less than a Pentium III CPU, Windows 2000 or XP, and 512 MB RAM or MAC G4 or G5 processor, Mac OS X, and 512 MB RAM.

56K or faster Internet connection is required for online courses, however broadband is strongly encouraged.

buy a mac, a good one...you cannot compare a mac with a Pc for graphics. all the top end graphic editing softwares fr ex maya , studio max etc work best with macs...
