Myspace buffer overrun???spyware

A buffer over run is a type of attack. It is not usually a memory defect in your machine.

Somebody from somewhere is trying to overflow your memory buffer. If they can do that then the overflow gets written into your memory register and it could be for any type of file they choose.

If your machine is giving you an alarm and shutting down then they are not likely getting through. If you can observe where they are coming from or which port they are attacking maybe you can block them.

If you have Norton you should be able to get technical help from them on this. See if their support pages are any help.

You might like to ask in the Castle Cops forum or even directly from Microsoft.

Have you been doing your updates from microsoft regularly.

If not then you should go to Microsoft update now and update your programs. You should be able to get there from Start%26gt;all programs%26gt;Windows update or Microsoft update at the top of the program list. Here is a shortcut.

My system lists both but they both go to Microsoft.

Good luck!!!
