Is it advisable to install only windows in C drive & all other softwares in other drives?

like acrobat reader, photoshop, spyware doctor etc so that in case window crashes we can simply format the C drive %26 reinstall windows. we won't have to reinstall all other software again. And also if any virus comes via net %26 could not be removed with antivirus, our others drives will remain safe %26 we can remove virus by simply format the C drive %26 reintall windows

No, all those programs you are talking about won't work if windows removed you have to install them again. you can install every thing on c:\ but you save your work on other drive like files you typed music movies pictures and so on they will be safe.about the programs when you install program windows will save a file in a folder call system32 and those files have extinction DLL when you click to start the program first thing windows does is going to those DLL files and read the instructions stored inside the the program opens up. if the program was on other drive and you formatted windows and you tried to open any of those programs all you see is missing DLL.
