Programs don't run when I double click?

I've been clicking on the icons of programs(not a shortcut, but directly from Program Files) and the hour glass would appear beside my mouse, but after a while it disappears and the program never runs. What seems to be the problem? The only things I've done to my PC recently are installing antivirus software(Super AntiSpyware).

Hiya,

Not sure wat this Supe AntiSpyware program is and the developer but advise is that if it's a "freeware" downloaded, make sure you got it from a reputable site... there are too many bogus sites out there offering free or discounted pirated or spyware infested softwares.

2 Main causes for this problem which I can think of if the spyware program change is the cause...

1) The Super AntiSpyware (SAS for short) inhibits your icon-ed program (IEP for short).

-Do a full scan and read through the report, if it states that your IEP is a spyware and has removed certain files from the main program (to protect you), you will face the problem described above. If the IEP is important and you really need it, go to the next step, else, it's better to just delete it.

-First explore your SAS to see if you can add your IEP and other programs which are disabled or identified as spyware. think if you really need it before you either add them to your exception list or ignor result from the scans.
