Computer Startup Porblem?

Hi

When i try and start up my computer i get this messgae...

"A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent

damage to your computer.

IRQL-------NOT-----LESS----OR---EQUAL

If this is the first time you have this "stop error screen", restart

your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps.

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.

If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer

for any Windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or

remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory...

Though Other wbesites including microsoft tell me to get rid of hardware or disable antivirus programs that only works if u can get on the computer but i cant. The minute the message comes up the computer shuts down and reatarts. It keeps doing that and it wont let me get on the computer to try anything out. Can some tell me what to do please

Boot it to SAFE MODE

Turn on Comp WHILE it is booting

(before windows flash screen)

press F8 key intermitantly.

Screen will apear to choose which mode

Once in safe mode you may be able to resore to

a previous restore point
